An emphasis on creating light and maximising space was achieved with white painted brickwork, a clear pergola roof, built in garden beds concealed within decking and utilising vertical space for plant growth. These elements enabled us to turn this 1970s brick unit into a private oasis in this small back courtyard, maximising a lush feel from floor to ceiling and reminding the client of their tropical childhood home. The small back courtyard leads to an open front yard with plenty of space for the kids and dogs to play. Here the character of the natural split crazy paving stone is complimented by curated plant choices within the landscape design.
